Obituary of Gregory R. Hunt

 

Peabody – Gregory R. Hunt 56, died Thursday, November 14, 2019 at home in Peabody following a 2 ½ year courageous battle with cancer. 

Born in Lynn, he was the son of Robert F. and Carole E. (Gregory) Hunt of Peabody. He was raised in Peabody, graduated from Peabody High School, class of 1980 and continued his education earning a bachelor’s degree in math and computer science from the University of Massachusetts – Lowell.

A resident of Florida for many years prior to returning to Peabody 2 ½ years ago, Greg was an avid Boston sports fan and enjoyed riding his motorcycle. He had a passion for listening to and playing classic rock music, and loved making friends, family, and those around him laugh. 

In addition to his parents, he is survived by a son, Daniel R. Hunt of CA, a daughter, Leigh Ann Hunt of FL, two sisters, Susan Beaudoin of Tyngsboro and Cindy Sauve and her husband, Gary of Methuen, a brother, Jeffrey Hunt and his wife, Crystal of NH, an aunt, Ruth Sims of West Dennis and several nieces and nephews.

His funeral service will be held at the Conway Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody, Monday, November 18, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. A visitation will take place at the funeral home Monday morning prior to the service from 9:30 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Burial in the Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, West Peabody. Contributions may be made in his memory to the American Cancer Society, 3 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
