Margaret Kerivan

Obituary of Margaret "Anne" Kerivan

Margaret “Anne” Kerivan, 85, passed gently into the arms of the Lord on November 18, 2019 surrounded by her adoring children. She was the wife of the late Charles J. Kerivan Jr.,   with whom she shared 56 years of marriage.

Born and raised in Montreal, Canada, Anne was the daughter of the late Lawrence H. and Margaret K. (Melvin) Gulline. In 1959, she married her Air Force pen pal, Charlie, and moved to Lynn where she had her three children. In 1976, she and Charlie moved the family to Peabody where they created a lifetime of enduring memories with their children and grandchildren. After raising her children, Anne worked at Sears, in the accounting department, where she made many lifelong friends.

A devout Catholic, a dedicated wife and mother, and doting grandmother, Anne was the quintessential social butterfly who delighted in hosting parties large and small. All who entered her home were treated as guests of honor. She loved playing cards, Yahtzee, reading, birdwatching, trips to Hampton beach, and, above all, watching sports with her Charlie.

Surviving her to cherish her memory are her children, Kathleen Salerno & her husband James of Peabody, Joan Casper & her husband Joseph of Peabody & Charles J. Kerivan III & his wife Alison of Beverly; her grandchildren, Matthew, James & Lauren Salerno; Nicole & Carolyn Casper; and Brendan, Eliza & Annabelle Kerivan; her sisters, Joan and Sandra Gulline of Mississauga, Ontario, and her brother, Lawrence Gulline of Laguna Beach, CA; and her sister-in-law, Kay Carey of Plymouth and many nieces, nephews and friends.

A Visitation will be held on Friday, November 22nd from 4:00 until 8:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody.
