Obituary of Michael C. Holloran

Peabody – Michael C. Holloran 52, entered into eternal rest into the loving arms of Jesus on November 20, 2019 unexpectedly in Peabody.

Born and raised in Salem, he was the son of Ronald R. and Barbara E. (Sylvester) Holloran. He graduated from Salem High School, class of 1985 and continued his education at St. Leo University in Florida. Michael was an avid golfer who was selected as the team MVP in High School as well the Hall of Fame award. He was also an avid sports fan, especially the Red Sox and Patriots.

Michael had been employed for many years in the transportation industry having worked as a limo driver, truck driver and taxi driver.

A man of faith, he often helped people in need. As a young man he over came bone cancer through prayer and his deep faith. He was a loving son, nephew, uncle and friend who will be missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by a sister, Christine E. Janvier and her husband, David of Salem, a brother-in-law, Paul Corey of Salem, nieces and nephews, Melissa Corey of Danvers, Benjamin, Kate and Matthew Holloran of Marblehead, grand nieces, Audrey and Autumn Corey, his dear friend, Christina Kenny  and many loving aunts and uncles. He was also the brother of the late Ronald Holloran Jr. and nephew of the late Joan Sylvester.

His funeral will be held from the Conway Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody on Wednesday, November 27, 2019 at 9:30 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Margin St., Peabody, Wednesday, at 10:30 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours on Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. Burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Salem. In lieu of flowers, please extend an act of kindness to someone in need in Michael’s memory.
