Obituary of Charlie S Tringale

Charles S. “Charlie” Tringale, 87, of Peabody and formerly of Medford and Boston, died peacefully Sunday afternoon the E.N. Rogers Memorial Veterans Hospital following a long illness.  He was the devoted husband of the late Mary Jean (Beaulieu) Tringale.

Born in Boston, he was the son of the late Domenic and Agata (Bussichella) Tringale.  He was raised and educated in Medford, and was a graduate of Medford High School. He later lived in the Westend of Boston and has spent the last 52 years living in Peabody. 

Charlie was a veteran of the Korean War who served with the United States Navy as a Sea Bee for 4 years before his honorable discharge in 1955.  Following his discharged, Charlie worked in the construction field, mostly as a carpenter with Gonnella Construction of Wakefield.  He also worked on many construction projects in Boston with Seaport Management and the World Trade Center as well.

Charlie was a member of the Cy Tenney Social Club and was a member of the Palmer Cove Yacht Club.  His favorite endeavor though was spending time with his family and later his grandchildren and sharing in all of their activities. 

Charlie is survived by his three sons, Domenic Tringale of Peabody, James Tringale of Sandown, NH and his fiancé Susan Driver, and Edward and his wife Gayle Tringale of Peabody, his two daughters, Deborah Tringale of GA and Maryann Tringale and her husband Bob Bicchieri of Littleton, his brothers, S. Richard Tringale of Stoneham, Thomas Tringale of Saugus, and Richard Tringale of Winchesters, his sister, Josephine “Jody” Reis of Stoneham, and by his beloved 7 grandchildren , Michael Tringale and Danielle Tringale and Rob Masci, Jacquelyn Adams and her husband Jacob, Kevin Turmel and his fiancé Sarah Gianos, and Tyler and Abi Tringale, and Molly Tringale,  one great granddaughter, Koralee Adams,  and by many nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by his siblings, Vinnie, Joe, and Frank Tringale, Rose Tringale, Camilla Yasi, and Ann Gulino.

Visiting hours will be held on Friday from 9:30 AM until 11:30 AM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St, Peabody, followed by his Funeral Mass at 12:00 PM at St. Adelaide’s Church, Lowell St, Peabody to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend.  Burial will be in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Lake St, Peabody.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in is name to the E.N. Rogers Memorial Veterans Hospital, Hospice Unit, 200 Springs Rd, Bedford, MA 01730.
