Obituary of Philip P. Kazan

 

Peabody – Philip P. Kazan, beloved husband of Colleen M. (Mercurio) Kazan, died Thursday, November 28, 2019 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers.

Born, raised and educated in Boston, he was the son of the late Lena Robak.

An honorably discharged veteran, he served his country during the Korean Conflict as a member of the United States Marine Corps.

Mr. Kazan had been employed for over twenty-five years as a dedicated supervisor and mechanic for United Airlines until the time of his retirement in 1997.

A longtime resident of Peabody, he was a member of the Disabled American Veterans. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend who will be missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his loving and caring wife, he is survived by a son, Christopher Kazan and his wife, Mandy of Wilton, CT, two daughters, Dina Connors of Peabody and Karen Quealy of Peabody and six grandchildren, Kendall, Kayden, Keegan, Patrick with whom he shared the same birthdate as , Katelyn and Michael.

A celebration of his life will be held at the Conway Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody, Wednesday, December 4, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Burial will be held privately in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in his memory to the Disabled American Veterans, State House, Room 546, Boston, MA 02133 (www.davma.org) or the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O.
