Obituary of Rose Gioia

Carmella Rose (LaTerza) Gioia, 85, of New Hampshire and formally of Lynn and Peabody passed peacefully Thursday December 5 surrounded by her loving family following a long illness.  She was the devoted wife of Dominic Gioia.  She was the daughter of the late Anthony and Irene (Allard) LaTerza.

She was raised in Saugus and graduated from Saint Mary’s High in Lynn.  Rose is survived by her husband Dominic, her son Paul Gioia of Bridgton ME, her three daughters Donna Gioia and her husband Peter Bennett of Hampton NH, Angela Gioia and her husband Steven Cole of North Providence RI and Patricia and her husband Edward Casey of Wareham. Her six grandchildren Robert S O’Leary, Shane and Alexandra Taylor, Harold and John Irving, Christina Richert and her great granddaughter Emma Welch and by several nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her brothers Christopher, Leo and John.

 A funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday Dec 14 at 11am at Saint Ann’s Church Lynn St Peabody which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. I’m lieu of flowers please donate to Alzheimer’s Association.
