Obituary of Ronald T. Wade

 

Beverly – Ronald T. Wade 71, beloved husband of Kathryn E. (Cookson) Wade, died Thursday, December 5, 2019 at Beverly Hospital.

Born in Melrose, he was the son of the late Herman J. and Mary Louise (Moran) Wade. He was raised and educated in Peabody and was a graduate of the Essex Agricultural and Technical School in Danvers, class of 1966. He earned his degree from Newbury Junior College, class of 1980.

An honorably discharged veteran, he served his country during the Vietnam Era as a member of the United States Navy.

Mr. Wade had been employed for twenty-five years as a machine assembler for Delta Engineering in Winchester.

A longtime resident of Beverly, he was a life member of the Andover Sportsman’s Club and was a Boy Scout leader for Troop #1 in Beverly. Ron was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend who will be missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his wife, with whom he shared forty seven years of marriage, he is survived by a daughter, Jessica Wade of Augusta, ME, a son, Eric Wade and his wife, Michele of Danvers, a granddaughter, Kaitlyn Wade, two sisters, Mary Shea Wade of FL and Roberta Fleming of Bangor, ME.

There will be a private burial service. A celebration of his life will be held at the Danversport Waterfront, 161 Elliott St. (Rte. 62), Danvers, Sunday, December 15, 2019 from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Arrangements by the Conway Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in his memory to the Kaplan Family Hospice House, c/o Care Dimensions, 75 Sylvan St., Danvers, MA  01923.
