Obituary of Diane Lois Raymond

 

 

Diane Lois (Clancy) Nelson Raymond,74, of Peabody died Sunday, December 15, 2019  at the Kaplan Family Hospice House, Danvers with her family at her side.

She was born in Salem, MA on April 4, 1945, the daughter of the late Cornelius “Bud”  and Ann (Klemm) Clancy and had resided in Peabody most of her life.

Diane was a graduate of Peabody High School  and had been a waitress at many north shore restaurants including, Landolphi’s, Yoken’s. New England Oyster House and Whaler’s Pub prior to her retirement.

She was very clever with her hands and made many household crafts and sold them at craft shows and trade fairs.    She loved going to the beach on the north shore, especially at Salem Willows.

She is survived by a son, Peabody deputy fire chief Richard P. Nelson of Peabody and a daughter and son-in-law,  Debra and Douglas Sanville of Salem,  five grandchildren,  a brother and sister-in-law,  Richard and Suzy Clancy of Merrimac, MA and many nieces and nephews.   She was the sister of the late Robert Clancy and Donna Gulezian and the former wife of Richard J. Nelson.

A  Private Family visitation will be held on Thursday, December 19,2019 from 4:00 until 7:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral home at the 82 Lynn St., Peabody facility.  Burial will be at a later date.    Expressions of sympathy may be made to ( National Alliance of Mental Illness) N.A.M.I. 3803 Fairfax Dr., Suite 100, Arlington, VA 22203   in her memory.  For guestbook  please visit www.ccbfuneral.com
