Mary was in a class by herself. She was a truly compassionate, kind, generous, loving woman. She made the world a better place and we are worse off for her absence. Condolences to her family from Carol, Dieter and Heather Harper in Chicago.

Dear Mariann, George, Peter, Tracey and all the Franggos family, my deepest sympathy in the passing of your lovely Mom. Both your parents were inspirations to me as true examples of Christian humanity, dignity, unconditional love, and kindness. The Bible states: “When thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth” that thine alms may be in secret…” Don’t do something good with publicity in mind. I always remember your parents waiting until church emptied of us all on Sundays so they could approach a seminarian who was visiting from great distance so they could take him out for lunch or invite him to their home, since he had no place else to go for Sunday dinner or the holidays. I remember as a young altar boy going up to their home on Lynnfield Street to help clean their barn so they could hold one of many lovely fundraisers for our new Educational Center. Your Dad and Mom held practically every position of importance in our parish with great honor and success. I will always remember them leaving my pharmacy with the Greek adage: We wish you whatever you can fantasize and a little bit more. I pray that their lives help make me a slightly better person for having known them. May your Mom’s memory be eternal.

Every time I think of Saint Vasilios Church my thoughts are of John and Mary Francis. Wonderful people, unwavering members of the faith. Always giving of themselves, pillars of the community. God bless you Mary. May your memory be eternal
