Obituary of Craig Lee Slocum

Craig Lee Slocum, 74, of Peabody, died peacefully on Saturday, December 21, 2019 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers after an extended illness. He was the devoted husband of 30 years to Arlette (St Pierre) Slocum. Craig was born and raised in Vermillion, South Dakota and resided in Beverly and Lynn, MA before moving to Peabody. He had been an engineer at the General Electric Co in the Jet engine division in Lynn MA for 40 years. He also sub contracted with the Belcan Corp in Lynn prior to his retirement. He enjoyed bowling and had played in many bowling leagues. He was known as the neighborhood handy man and helped many with their household repairs. Craig proudly served in the US Army in Vietnam. He is survived by his wife Arlette of Peabody, MA his two sons and grandchildren, a sister and brother-in-law, Margie and Asa Clarke of New York and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late J.R. Slocum. A family service will be held at a later date. Expressions of sympathy may be made to Haven from Hunger, 71 Wallis St, Peabody, MA 01960 in his memory.
