Obituary of Jane M. Diogo

Lynn – Jane M. (Fernandes) Diogo 64, beloved wife of the late Antonio M. Diogo, died Monday, December 23, 2019 at the Brigham & Women’s Hospital in Boston. Born in Cavadoude, Portugal, she was the daughter of Maria (Costa) Fernandes and the late Joao Fernandes. She immigrated to the United States in 1969 settling in Cambridge before moving to Lynn thirty-four years ago. Jane graduated from Cambridge Rindge & Latin High School, class of 1975. Mrs. Diogo had been employed as an EKG technician at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston for many years. She is survived by her sons Steven Diogo of Lynn, Agostinho Diogo and his wife, Julie of Lynn, three grandchildren, Antonio, Elyanna and Izaiah Diogo, sisters, Maria Dos Santos and her husband, Luis of Salem and Christina Fernandes of New Bedford, brothers, Joe Fernandes and his wife, Nancy of Gloucester and Jack Fernandes of Somerville, John Diogo of Peabody and many nieces and nephews. Jane loved to read, crochet and most of all spend time with her family. Her funeral service will be held at the Conway Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody, Tuesday, December 31, 2019 at 12:00 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours Monday, December 30, 2019 from 4 to 7 p.m. Burial will be in the St. Mary’s Cemetery, Lynn. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in her memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
