Obituary of Donna M. Maurais

Donna M. Maurais, 61, of Ipswich passed away peacefully in her home January 5, 2020. Born in Salem on April 22, 1958, she was the daughter of April Maurais of Peabody and the late Joseph Maurais. Donna had a passion for taking care of children, in which she turned into her career for over ten years. She was referred as a second mother to those she came across. She was loved by all and gave love to all, especially her cherished granddaughter Mia. She is survived by her two sons, Nicholas Maurais and his partner Melissa Jacobson of North Reading and Derek Maurais and his partner Helena Mae Keefe of Gloucester, her granddaughter, Mia Marquis, her sisters, Cherlye Sharkey of Lynn, and Kim Blanchette-Talbot of Lynn, her brother Brain Thompson of Haverhill, her boyfriend Michael Pelletier, and is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Donna was predeceased by her brothers Joseph Maurais Jr., and Randall Maurais, and her sister Joanne Peters. Following cremation, visiting hours will be held on Sunday from 3:00 until 6:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St, Peabody, followed by her Funeral Service at 6:00 PM at the funeral home to which relatives and friends are invited to attend. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of one’s choice.
