Obituary of Charles D. Sousa
Charles D. Sousa 87, beloved husband of the late Beverly E. (Kimball) Sousa, died Tuesday afternoon surrounded by his family at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers following a brief illness.
Born and raised in Peabody, he was the son of the late Charles and Clara (Silva) Sousa. He was a life-long resident of Peabody and a graduate of Peabody High School, class of 1950.
Charlie was employed as a clerk for several Package Stores in Peabody and Salem before he retired years ago.
He is survived by his daughter, Holly Nolan and her husband, David of Lynn, four grandchildren, Carrie Nolan Dwyer, David M. Nolan, Laurie Nolan and Brett Nolan and two great grandchildren, Connor and Addie Nolan. He was predeceased by his two sisters, Alice Madruga and Francelina Sylvester.
Visiting hours will be held on Friday from 10:30 AM until 12:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody followed by his Funeral Service at 12:00 PM at the funeral home to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Burial in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to the Kaplan Family Hospice House, 78 Liberty St, Danvers, MA 01923.
