Obituary of Mary G. (Tenedios) Martwichuck
Mary G. (Tenedios) Martwichuck, 90, of Peabody, died early Saturday morning at her home surrounded by her family after a short illness. She was the wife of the late Stephen Martwichuck.
She was born in Peabody on May 5, 1916, the daughter of the late George and Despina (Kyrlis) Tenedios and was a graduate of Peabody High School and a lifelong resident of Peabody.
She had been a Sales Person at the former J.J. Newberry’s Department store at the North Shore Shopping Center for nearly 30 years prior to her retirement. She was an active member of St. Vasilios Church and a member of the PTA and the Philoptohos Society.
She was an avid Bingo Player, enjoyed cooking and traveling and was a legacy of love to her entire family.
She is survived by a daughter, Denise Martwichuck, a teacher at the Higgins Middle School, of Peabody, two sons, Michael Martwichuck and his companion, Mary Lee Jacobsen of Peabody and George and his wife Elaine Martwichuck of Beverly; a brother and sister-in-law, Michael and Mary Tenedios of Pittsfield, ME , a sister, Anna Tenedios of Peabody, and her grandchildren and great grandchildren, Stephen and his wife Lisa Martwichuck and their children Haley and Abby Martwichuck, Laurie and her husband David Miller and their children Erica, Olivia and Matthew Miller, Kerri and her husband Phil Ruotolo and their children Anthony and Aaron Ruotolo all of Beverly, Leanne and her husband Michael Goddu and their children Michael and Eleni Goddu of Georgetown, and Jocelyn and her husband Brian St. Pierre of Baltimore, MD and many nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held on Monday from 4:00 until 8:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 82 Lynn St., Peabody location. Her Funeral will be held on Tuesday at 9:00 AM from the Funeral Home followed by Services in St. Vasilios Church, Peabody at 10:00 AM. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody. Expressions of sympathy may be made to St. Vasilios Altar Fund, 7 Paleologos St., Peabody, MA 01960 or to Hospice of the No Shore, 10 Elm St., Danvers, MA 01923 in her memory.
