Obituary of Dolores M. Delaney

Dolores Mae (Young) Delaney, 91, of Peabody, MA died peacefully on Wednesday, February 5, 2020 at the Brudnick Center for the Living in Peabody. She was the devoted wife of the late Joseph D. Delaney. She was born and raised in Lynn, MA and was a graduate of Lynn English High School in the class of 1946. She had resided in Peabody, MA for the past 65 years. Del had a creative talent for decorating and interior design. She was a devoted parishioner at St. Ann’s church. She is survived by her children, Susan Delaney of Arlington, Mary-Jo Delaney of Nice, France, James J. Delaney of Peabody, and Patricia Catanese and her husband Steven of Medfield, MA, her precious grandchildren Michael, Andrew, Kyle, Devin and Ava and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late George Young. A Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 9, 2020 from 3:00 until 6:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur funeral home at the 82 Lynn St., Peabody facility. Her funeral will be held on Monday at 12 Noon from the funeral home followed by a funeral Mass in St. Adelaide’s Church, 708 Lowell St, West Peabody at 1:00 PM. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody.
