Obituary of Barbara Jean White

Peabody – Barbara Jean (Kirlis) White 87, beloved wife of the late Brian C. White Sr., died Friday, February 14, 2020 at the Rosewood Health Care Center in Peabody surrounded by her family. Born and raised in Peabody, she was the daughter of the late William and Rita (O’Donnell) Kirlis. She received her education in the Peabody school system and graduated from Peabody High School. Mrs. White took great pride in caring for the elderly and had worked many years as a home health aide until the time of her retirement. Prior to that she had worked for Devcon, Hotwatt, Parker Brothers, Sylvania as well as a waitress at Jordan Marsh and Raymond’s Pharmacy in Peabody. She had a great love for dancing but most of all, she was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend who will be missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her son, Daniel B. White and his wife, Joan of Peabody, three grandchildren, Daniel White and his wife, Jessica of NH, Christopher White of Peabody and Lisa Quirk and her husband, Kevin of Maine, a great granddaughter, Christine Quirk, two sisters-in-law, Eleanor Stanford of Danvers and Donna Weidner of Indiana and many nieces and nephews. She was also the mother of the late Brian C. White and his wife, Vera and sister of the late Arlene Levasseur and Herbert Kirlis. Her funeral services were held at the Conway Cahill Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody.
