Obituary of Doris Yvonne (Guilbault) Budesky

Doris Y. (Guilbault) Budesky, 75, of Peabody and formerly of Salem, died peacefully Friday morning surrounded by her family. She was the devoted wife of the late Alexander Budesky who died in December 2004. Born in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Donat and Amanda (LaPorte) Guilbault. She was raised and educated in Salem and attended St. Joseph’s School. She has lived in Peabody for over 50 years. She first worked as a clerk at CBS Hytron in Salem and later worked as an inspector at the Deerskin Trading Post in Peabody, retiring in 1991. She also volunteered at the Polls for Ward 4 Precinct 2 in Peabody for many, many years. She was a devoted wife, a loving mother and a adoring grandmother who will be dearly missed by all who knew her, including her two sons, Alexander Budesky and his fiancée Karen Foote and her son Alex Foote, all of Peabody, and Mark and his wife Pamela Budesky of Farmington, MN., her daughter, Donna and her husband Tom Powers of Williston, VT., two brothers and a sister-in-law, Maurice Guilbault of Peabody and Roger and Clara Guilbault of Georgetown, a brother-in-law, Ray Kelley of Peabody, six grandchildren, Alexis, Tommy, Markie, Johnny, Michael, and Amelia, and is also survived by a niece, Joanne Kelley of Peabody, as well as several other nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Rita Metivier, Lorraine Cassie, and Theresa Kelley. Her Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday at 10:00 AM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody Facility, to which relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visitation on Monday from 4:00 until 7:00 PM Burial in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody.
