Obituary of Patrick Joseph Cahill

Salem – Patrick Joseph Cahill 88, died Saturday, March 14, 2020 at home surrounded by his family. Born and raised in Salem, he was the son of the late Patrick J. and Margaret Jane (McNulty) Cahill. He graduated from Salem High School, class of1949 and attended Northeastern University and the Feener Technical School in Boston. An honorably discharged veteran, he served his country during the Korean Conflict as a member of the United States Army. Mr. Cahill had been employed for twenty-nine years as a draftsman for the General Electric Company in Lynn until the time of his retirement in 1991. A life-long resident of the City of Salem, he was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Salem. He was a loving brother, uncle and friend who will be missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his sister, Mary Smith of Peabody, his brother, James P. Cahill and his wife, Marie of FL, a sister-in-law, Joyce Cahill of AZ and many nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Joan E. Cahill-West and John F. Cahill. His funeral services will be private. Arrangements by the Conway Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody.
