Obituary of Scott M Price

Scott M Price, 62, of Peabody, died unexpectedly Thursday evening at Salem Hospital. He was the devoted husband of Brenda (Jenkins) Price with whom he shared over 35 years of marriage. Born in Melrose, he was the son of Marjorie (Sampson) Price of Peabody and the late Joseph F. Price. He was raised in Peabody and was a graduate of Austin Prep in Reading, class of 1976. He continued his education at North Shore Community College and later he received his degree from UMASS Lowell. Scott was an entrepreneur who owned several business including Hyde Park Auto Sales and Summit Pizza in Peabody before going to work for Danvers Motor Company as a new and used car manager. Scott also spent many years working as a house manager for North Shore Arc caring for the "Guys" as his children came to lovingly call them. Scott was active in the community he lived in, he was either coaching little league or PBA or being the Jenkins Family handyman. His favorite endeavor though was spending time with his family. Besides his loving wife and mother, Scott is survived by his son Mark Price and his two daughters Nikki Price and Kaleigh Price, all of Peabody, his brother Kevin Price and his wife Linda of Londonderry, NH, his two sisters, Lisa Couture and her husband Steve of Peabody and Holly Luoto and her husband Eric of Georgetown, his brothers and sisters in law Linda and Marty Cohan of Peabody, Debbie and Kevin Selinger of Peabody, Susan and Bill Linehan of Peabody, Dan and Jill Jenkins of Peabody, Nancy Jenkins of Peabody, Kathleen and Glen Keenan of Peabody, Matthew and Nancy Jenkins of Peabody and his mother in law Ann ( Nancy) Jenkins of Peabody. Scott is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews including his Godchild Tess Keenan. A private family funeral service was held on Tuesday with burial at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Salem.
