Obituary of Sally F. Forsythe

Sally Francis (Lamott)Forsythe, 83, of Peabody, died unexpectedly at her home on Thursday April 2, and is now at peace in heaven. She was the devoted wife of Emery W. Forsythe with whom he shared over 60 years of marriage. Born in Lynn, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Sophie Lamott. She was raised and educated in Lynn and was a graduate of Lynn English High School. After schooling, Sally pursued her career in nursing and became a lifelong nurse working mostly at eh former J.B. Thomas Hospital in Peabody. Through the years Sally really enjoyed Sunday dinners, because that’s when family and friends would gather at her house for either a birthday, holiday, or just a simple cook-out on the back deck, a back deck where she also lived for feeding her bird and squirrel friends. She also enjoyed crocheting and reading as well. Besides her loving husband Emery, she is survived by her two sons, Todd Forsythe and his wife Anna of Barrington, NH, Tracy Forsythe and his wife Karen of Peabody, her daughter, Susan Forsythe O’Connell and her boyfriend David of Peabody, also survived by her sister, Barbara Colanton of NH and her brother, Bill Lamott and his wife Pat of FL, her sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Sarah, Pat & Mike, Courtney, Marie, and Curtis, she is also survived by her 5 grandchildren, Taylor and her husband Junior, Trevor, Shaina, Devon, and Madeline and her husband Raf, two step-granddaughters, Noelle and Gabby and two great grandchildren, Bella and Noah and by many more loving nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings, Fred Lamott and Mabel Gross and by her daughter-in-law, Brenda Forsythe. A private family service was held with burial at Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody.
