Obituary of Theresa F. Downey

Beverly - Theresa F. (Holland-Pimental) Downey, passed away on April 15, 2020 of Covid 19 at the age of 89. Theresa was born in Somerville, MA. She was the beloved wife of the late William J. Downey Jr and former wife of the late Anthony J. Pimental. She imbued so many gifts to her children. We learned we are never given anything in this life we can’t handle, appreciate life’s gifts, find joy in the little things, do a daily gratitude inventory, celebrate life’s blessings, give back and you surely will receive so much more. We are honored to have had such a wonderful teacher. In her life she rose from the depths of despair to a life of service and commitment through a Twelve Step Fellowship. She was a Friend of Bill for 47 years. Together with her loving husband they travelled the world and lived a happy, joyful life in Pinehurst, North Carolina. We cherish our memories of those visits. They were some of the happiest times of our lives. After Bill died in 1996, she continued her mission to help those in need. That was her purpose in life. Theresa was a hero to her 3 children. Because of her we truly believe in miracles. Endless love Mom. Rest in peace. She was the loving mother of Nancy Ellen Moore and her husband Ted of Boxford, Paula Jean Bdiwi and her partner, Frank A. Williams of Lynn and Mark Anthony Pimental of Colorado Springs, CO and sister-in-law of Robert F. Pimental and his wife Debra of Middleton. Her funeral services were private. Arrangements by the Conway Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody.
