Obituary of Carmen G Howcroft

Carmen G (Bonomo) Howcroft passed away peacefully in her home in which she loved and resided in for the past 60 years with loved ones by her side. Carmen was the daughter of the late John and Sarah Bonomo, and pre-deceased by her husband of 48 years, John E. Howcrfot, her brother Joseph Bonomo, sister Connie Wynnyk and nephew Freddie Howcroft. She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Richard and Janet Howcroft of Peabody and Ralph and Susan Howcroft of Naples, Florida and Sebago, Maine, and her sister Sally Silva of Peabody. She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren, Todd and Blair Howcroft of Peabody, Keith and Robin Howcroft of Peabody, Kimberly (Howcroft) and Brian Morrison of Hamilton, Bryan Howcroft and husband Roshan Mahato of Peabody, Michael Howcroft of Middleton, and Victoria and Todd Horvath of Marblehead, and Elizabeth Andrews of Salem, her great grandchildren, Violet Howcroft, Sean and Avery Howcroft, Luke and Drew Morrison, Trinity Espaillat, and Teagan and Keira Horvath as well as her nieces Roseann (Silva) Pappas, Donna (Howcroft) Bogosian, Donna Bonomo and Carol (Wynnyk) Zdanowicz and many cousins. She graduated from Peabody High School, class of 1941, and the Hawthorne Institute. After graduation, Carmen worked of the First National Stores in Peabody and Danvers for 30 years. For her entire life she was devoted to the Catholic faith, raising her two sons, and taking care of any family members and friends the needed care. One of Carmen’s greatest joys was preparing Italian meals for her family, especially her grandchildren. She loved family gathers and reminiscing. She also enjoyed the local sports teams, especially watching the Red Sox games on T.V. She would faithfully watch EWTN praying the rosary, enjoying the Mass, and watching Mother Angelica. Carmen’s family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to Maria Melo, Ruth Ross, Joy Ojo, as caregivers, and Kathy Moore RN, case manager and Beth Gentleman, Nurse Practitioner from All Care Hospice as well as Father Stanley from St. Ann’s Catholic Church for their dedication and loving care. Carmen’s deepest wish was to remain in home in her final days. A private graveside service was held at the family lot in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to All Care Hospice, 210 Market St, Lynn, MA 01901.
