Obituary of Emery Willis Forsythe

Emery Willis Forsythe, 81, of Peabody, died peacefully at the Rosewood Nursing Home in Peabody from Covid-19 related symptoms. He is now joined with his devoted wife Sally in heaven with whom he shared over 60 years of marriage. Emery was born and raised in Wolfville, Nova Scotia, Canada. His family came down from Canada and resided in Beverly. Emery joined the Army National Guard in 1959 and later received his certificate of Naturalization from USA in 1963. He settled down in Lynn with his wife Sally and had 3 children. He was employed at Essex Electric for many years and then the family settled down in Peabody in 1977. Emery was known for building the family’s summer cottage called “The Camp” in NH, where all the family and friends would gather to enjoy life. Emery (Bub) was also known for having a Seagram’s whiskey in hand while smoking a Kent cigarette. He was the son of the late Willis and Laura Forsythe and is survived by his three children, two sons, Todd Forsythe and his wife Anna of Barrington, NH, and Tracy Forsythe and his wife Karen of Peabody, his daughter, Susan Forsythe O’Connell and her boyfriend David of Peabody, also survived by his three brothers and a sister, Courtney Forsythe of NC, Mike Forsythe of FL, Curtis Forsythe of FL, and Marie Forsythe Warren of FL. he is also survived by his 5 grandchildren, Taylor and her husband Junior, Trevor, Shaina, Devon, and Madeline and her husband Raf, two step-granddaughters, Noelle and Gabby and two great grandchildren, Bella and Noah and by many more loving nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his daughter-in-law, Brenda Forsythe. A private family service was held with burial in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody.
