Obituary of Ellen M Shaw

Ellen M. (Tracchia) Shaw, 72, of Peabody, passed peacefully on Wednesday April 27 at the Brudnick Center for Living in Peabody following a brief illness. Born in Peabody, she was the daughter of the late Quintino and Marion (Donnelly) Tracchia. She was raised and educated in Peabody and was a graduate of Peabody High School, class of 1965. Following High School, Ellen began working at General Electric in Lynn until leaving to raise her family. Ellen later worked for Eastern Bank as loan officer and retired after 20 years of service. Upon her retirement, she continued working part-time at Macy’s in Peabody. Ellen was a lifelong parishioner of St. John’s Church in Peabody and attended daily morning services. Ellen's first and foremost devotion in her life was to her children and family. Accompanied by her devout faith in God, Ellen always persevered. Ellen is survived by her son Edward M. Shaw of Peabody, her three daughters, Deborah Leno, and Kristine Shaw of North Andover, and Kaleala Shaw of Reading, her brother Michael P. Tracchia and his wife Janine of Tampa, FL, her beloved grandchildren, Anthony Leno and his fiancé Sara Diogo, Matthew and Allen Leno, Jr, and by her great grandson, Michael Masela III, and by several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister Joanne M. Zawacki. A private graveside service was held at Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody. Arrangements were made by the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, Peabody.
