Obituary of Ethel R Fonti

Ethel R. (Boynton) Fonti, 77, of Beverly, passed away Sunday, April 19th, 2020 at Care One at Essex Park in Beverly as a result of complications from the Covid -19 virus. She was the beloved wife of the late Richard A. Fonti. Ethel was born in Boston on April 14th,1943, the daughter of the late Wesley and Ethel (Ramsden) Boynton of Allston, Ma. Ethel was the eldest of 7 siblings, Eleanor, Donna, Barbara, Carla, Cathy, and Wesley. She was a longtime resident of Beverly, Ma. Ethel had a zest for life. She enjoyed singing, dancing, listening to music and connecting with people. She had strong faith in Jesus and the power of prayer. Her fondest memories were made at Disney World and SeaWorld, Florida with family. Ethel is survived by her son Charles “Tony” Fonti. She will be missed by her siblings, Eleanor “Ellie” McMillan & Paul, and Barbara McMillan both of Salisbury, Ma. Ethel is survived by sisters Donna, Carla and Cathy Boynton of Boston, Ma. She will be missed by loving nephews, Dana & JoAnn McMillan of Prescott Valley, Az. and Raymond McMillan of Calgary, Alberta Canada. She was loved and will be missed by her brother -in-law Rocco “Louis” Fonti and sister-in-law Ginevra Riggi of Guttenberg, NJ. and by all her nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. Ethel was predeceased by her brother Wesley Boynton, a brother-in-law Rudolph Fonti and her husband of 43 years, Richard A. Fonti, who passed away on July 24th, 2015. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, a private burial was held at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Winchendon, Ma.
