Obituary of Marco Antonio Sazo

Marco Antoni Sazo, 70, a longtime resident of the North Shore, passed away Monday May 4th, 2020 at Beth Israel Deaconess Center in Boston, Ma as a result of complications from the Covid-19 virus. He was the beloved husband of the late Debra (McIsaac) Sazo. Marco was born in Guatemala City, Guatemala CA on September 25th, 1949, the son of the late Lauro Sazo of Guatemala City, Guatemala CA and the late Maria Rebecca (Diaz) Sazo of Lynn, Ma. Marco was the eldest son of two. Marco studied at St. Augustine Private Preparatory, Industrial Institute and EGA-English Language Institute in Guatemala City, Guatemala CA where he was raised and educated prior to emigrating to the United States. Marco was a retired employee of Osram Sylvania in Danvers, Ma. Marco had a zest for life and the best smile. He loved his family, especially his grandchildren and the family pets. He enjoyed photography, listening to music, watching soccer games from all over the world and connecting with people via social media. He was an avid animal lover. Marco is survived by his beloved daughters: Eugenia Del Carmen Cerullo and her husband Federico Cerullo of Swampscott, Ma and their children, Marca Cerullo and Jessica Cerullo, Alma Eleonora Sazo-Ramirez of Chelsea and her son Rafael Ramirez, Jr,”RJ” and their dog Koko, Claudia Lucrecia Sazo Mendoza of San Jose Pinulas , Guatemala CA and her sons Estuardo Zarco Mendoza, Marco André Rosales Mendoza and Gerardo Rosales Mendoza and their cat Benito. Priscilla Marie Sazo-Watts of Plaistow, NH, her children, Aiden Watts and Ellen Watts and their dog Brody. Evelyn Christina Pojoy and her husband Higinio Pojoy of Lynn, Ma and their children, Justin, Joseph and Rebecca Pojoy, Melissa Sazo and her partner, Daniel Wilson and their cat Mittens. Marco will be missed by his younger brother, Edgar Sazo of Peabody, MA and his wife Irma Sazo and their three sons, Fernando Sazo and his wife Sharon Sazo of Lynn, Edgar Sazo of New Hampshire, and Walter Sazo and his wife Tammy of Lynnfield, Ma and all of their children. Marco’s family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff at the ICU unit in Beth Israel, Boston for the exceptional care they gave him. Services for Marco Antonio Sazo Due to the Coronavirus/Covid-19 Pandemic a private service will be held on Monday May 11, 2020 at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St, Peabody, MA and a private burial service will be held at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, 185 Lake St, Peabody, MA.
