Obituary of Mary J Piazza

Mary J Piazza, 92, of Peabody, formerly of Revere, died Monday afternoon at the Rosewood Nursing Home following a brief illness. She was the devoted wife of the late Stephen C. Piazza. Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Vincenzo and Anna (Diecidue) Benvenuto. She was raised and educated in Revere and has spent the last 20 years living in Peabody. After her children were grown, Mary worked as a seamstress in the clothing industry for many years before she retired. She also enjoyed crocheting, playing bingo and Pokeno as well. She is survived by her daughters, Ann Piazza of Peabody and Maria Theresa Cuppernell of FL, her son, Charles L Piazza of FL, her sister, Rose Ciaramitaro of Medford, her brother, Anthony Benvenuto and by her 8 loving grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her brothers, Al and Leonard Benvenuto. A private family visitation will be held on Thursday from 10:30 until 11:00 AM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St, Peabody, followed by a graveside service at 11:15 at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Lake St, Peabody.
