Obituary of Katherine Oppito

Katherine Oppito, 94, of Peabody, passed away May 12, at Brudnick Center-Kaplan Estates, following a lengthy illness. She was the beloved wife of the late Ernest J. Oppito, who passed away in 1997. Katherine was born in Peabody on November 29, 1925, daughter of the late Demetrioes and Kaliope (Giacomis) Pappageorge. She was raised and educated in Peabody and remained a lifelong Peabody resident. Katherine enjoyed traveling to Florida with her late husband Ernest, she also enjoyed baking and cooking, but most importantly spending time with her friends and family. She is survived by her nieces, Elaine (Pappageorge) McCormack, Julie Dee Papageorge, and many extended family members and friends. Due to current CDC guidelines, a private burial will be held for immediate family in Cedar Grove Cemetery in Peabody, MA.
