Obituary of Daniel F. Hanlon
Peabody – Daniel F. Hanlon 92, beloved husband of the late Helen M. (Teodorczyk) Hanlon, died Sunday, May 10, 2020 at his home.
Born and raised in Chelsea, he was the son of the late Daniel F. Sr. and Susanna (Gould) Hanlon. He received his education in the Chelsea school system and graduated from Chelsea High School.
An honorably discharged veteran, he served his country during World War II as a member of the United States Army.
Mr. Hanlon had been employed for forty years as an engine tester for the General Electric Company in Lynn until the time of his retirement in 1992.
A longtime resident of Peabody, Daniel enjoyed traveling for years with his wife. He was a loving father, grandfather, brother and friend who will be missed by all who knew him.
Surviving him are two daughters, Karen Hanlon and her friend, Dan Peterson of Peabody and Kathleen Marino and her husband, Frederick of Lynnfield, a grandson, Daniel F. Marino of Lynnfield and a brother, John Hanlon of Chelsea. He was also the brother of the late Mary Sullivan.
His funeral service will be private and a celebration of his life will be held at a later date to which relatives and friends will be invited to attend. Arrangements by the Conway Cahill Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to North Shore Elder Services, 300 Rosewood Drive, Suite 200, Danvers, MA 01923.
