Obituary of Linda Gail Wood

Linda Gail (Chabra) Wood, 67, of Peabody, died unexpectedly on Sunday evening at the Lahey Clinic in Peabody. She was the devoted wife or Robert J. Wood, Sr with whom she shared over 49 years of marriage. Born in Lynn, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Eva (French) Chabra. She was raised and educated in Saugus and was a graduate of Saugus High School, class of 1970. She has lived in Peabody for over 50 years. Linda was a co-owner of Wood Trucking in Peabody for many years. When she was not working, she enjoyed spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren during the holiday times. Besides her loving husband, she is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Jonathan and Melissa Wood of Peabody, her sister, Judith O’Brien of NY and by her beloved grandchildren, Jonathan Wood, Jr, Madison, Patrick, Jace and Samantha Cummings Following cremation, a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
