Obituary of Marilyn I. Ball

Danvers – Marilyn I. (Perkins) Ball 91, beloved wife of the late Lawrence M. Ball, died Wednesday, May 13, 2020 at Care One at Essex Park in Beverly. Born and raised in Swampscott, she was the daughter of the late Russell and Irene (Wade) Perkins. She received her education in the Swampscott school system and graduated from Swampscott High School. Mrs. Ball had been employed part time at Hotwatt in Danvers for many years until her retirement. A longtime resident of Peabody, she was an active member of the Senior Center in Peabody. Most of all, she was a loving mother, grandmother and friend who will be missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her daughter, Linda Sampson and her husband, Bruce of Danvers, her son, Kenneth Ball of Beverly and two granddaughters, Elizabeth and Melissa Sampson. She was also the sister of the late Wesley Perkins. Her funeral services were private. Arrangements by the Conway Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to Peabody Senior Center, 75R Central Street, Peabody, MA 01960.
