Obituary of Irene Karol Hudak

Irene Karol Hudak, 89, of Peabody and formerly of New Jersey, died on Wednesday May 13 at the Rosewood Nursing Home in Peabody due to complications from the Covid-19 virus. She was the devoted wife of the late Joseph Hudak who died in 2017. Born in Bayonne, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Sophie (Kaniecki) Karol. She was raised and educated in New Jersey and had lived most of life there until moving to Peabody 3 years ago to be near her son John. Irene is survived by her two sons, John Joseph Hudak of Peabody and Richard Hudak of South Carolina, her daughter, Cynthia Meissner of Alaska, her sister, Lorraine Collins of NJ and is also survived by her beloved 7 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. A private family funeral service will be held on Friday at 2:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, Peabody. Her burial will take place on Tuesday May 19, 2020 at Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington, NJ.
