Obituary of Alice L Figueira

Alice l Figueira, 85, of Peabody, died unexpectedly on Tuesday May 12 at Beverly Hospital. She was born in the Medeira Islands, Portugal, on October 27, 1934 and was the daughter of the late Manuel and Maria (de Conceicao) Figueira. She was raised and educated in Portugal and immigrated to the United States in 1966 and has lived in Peabody for the past 54 years. Alice was employed for over 38 years as a forklift driver for Eastman Kodak in Peabody, she also worked for General Electric in Salem and at the Central Bakery in Peabody for 40 years before retiring years ago. Alice loved and was loved by all her family and will be dearly missed by her nieces and nephews, Rui and Fatima Andrade of Canada, and Paula, Linda, EJ, and Anthony Pereira, Amanda Soto and her great nieces and great nephews, Jaylin, Cecilia, Mason, and Danny Soto, all of Peabody, Ariana and Joshua Figueira of Beverly, and is also survived by her dear friend Lucy, who cared for her daily. She was predeceased by her 15 siblings and was the “baby” of the family. A private graveside service was held on Friday at the family lot in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Salem.
