Obituary of Leslie S Mitchell

Leslie S. Mitchell. 75, of Peabody, died Thursday at Salem Hospital following a brief illness. He was the devoted husband of Anne (Millstone) Mitchell with whom he shared over 25 years of marriage. Born in Youngstown, OH, he was the son of the late William and Helen (Moore) Mitchell. He was raised and educated in Ohio, later moved to Lynn, and has lived in Peabody for the past 29 years. Besides his loving wife, he is survived by his sons, Ivan Mitchell of Lynn, David Rosa of Roslindale, his daughter-in-law Sandra Terranova of Chelmsford, his beloved grandchildren, Adam and Brittany Mitchell, Alessia, Davide and Marcello Rosa , his great grandchild Quentin Mitchell, his dearly beloved brother-in-law Ian Gauslin, Sr., his brother- in-law Michael Millstone, his sisters-in-law Tina Vuylsteke and Phyllis Vitale, his dearly devoted and loving friend Joel Actor. In 1974 he completed a three-year program at Northeast Institute of Industrial Technology in Boston. He worked for General Electric in Lynn and had a 42-year career before retiring in 2009. A private graveside service for immediate family will be held on Tuesday at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Lake St, Peabody.
