Obituary of Robert C. Kaminski

Robert C Kaminski, 86, of Peabody, formerly of Lynn, died on Monday, May 18, at the Lahey Clinic in Burlington following a brief illness. He was the devoted husband of Claire M (Donoghue) Kaminski with whom he shared over 66 years of marriage. Born in Hartford, CT, he was the son of the late Stanislaw and Anna (Lepkowski) Kaminski. He was raised and educated in Lynn and was a graduate of Lynn Classical High School, class of 1952. He has lived in Peabody for the past 36 years. After high school, Bob enlisted with the United States Army and was going to serve during the Korean War, but during his training he came down with walking pneumonia and was soon honorably discharged due to his illness. Robert first started working for General Electric at the River Works plant in Lynn and then continued working as a Packer for Ametek in Wilmington before retiring years ago. Bob was a long-time communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Lynn, after church he would always “stop in” at Rolly’s Diner in Wyoma Square to have breakfast and talk with friends. Bob was known for his wonderful sense of humor, he loved fishing in his earlier life, and loved music and his pets. The one thing Bob loved the most was time with his family, whether it was going out to dinner and a movie with his wife Claire, or vacationing in New Hampshire, but most of all the holiday season with all his children and grandchildren. Besides his loving wife, Robert is survived by his son, Robert V.
