Obituary of Shirley A. Jackson
Lynn – Shirley A. (Morse) Jackson 84, beloved wife of the late Richard P. Jackson, died Friday, May 22, 2020 at the Hathorne Hill Health Care Center in Danvers.
Born and raised in Peabody, she was the daughter of the late Norman and Elizabeth (Shields) Morse. She received her education in the Peabody school system and graduated from Peabody High School, class of 1953.
As a young woman, Shirley worked at the former Cushman’s Bakery in Lynn where she met the love of her life and was later married.
She was a big sports fan, especially the Patriots, Shirley enjoyed reading and taking trips up to Maine. Most of all she enjoyed being with family and friends. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend who will be missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her daughter, Dana Schmorrow and her husband, Michael Jr. of Lynn, a step-son, Paul Jackson and his wife, Barbara of Middleton, four grandchildren, Michael Schmorrow III, James Schmorrow, Michael Jackson and Anthony Jackson, three great grandchildren, Michael IV, Morgan and Paris and many nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Mary Rice and her husband, James.
Her funeral service will be held at a later date. Arrangements by the Conway Cahill Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in her memory to the Alzheimer’s Association, 309 Waverley Oaks Rd, Waltham, MA 02452 or the American Diabetes Association, 260 Cochituate Rd., #200, Framingham, MA 01701.
