Obituary of Claire T. Gasinowski

Claire T. (Burda) Gasinowski, 87, of Peabody, died Monday May 18 at the Pilgrim Nursing Home in Peabody due to complications from the Covid-19 virus. She was the beloved wife of Edward Gasinowski with whom she shared over 70 years of marriage. Born in Salem on November 11, 1932, she was the daughter of the late William and Emilia (Nemeic) Burda. She was raised and educated in Salem and was a graduate of Salem High School, class of 1951. She has lived in Peabody for the past 65 years. Claire was a long-time communicant of St. Ann’s Church in Peabody. Her favorite endeavor was spending time with her family and enjoying and sharing in all their endeavors. Besides her loving husband Edward, she is survived by her five sons and one daughter, Edward Gasinowski, Jr and his wife Elaine and their two sons, Edju and his wife Beth and their three children, Max, Owen, and Ella, and Dan Gasinowski and his wife Dawn and their three children, Henry, Ruth, and Rose; Frank Gasinowski and his two children, Sadie and Jacob; William Gasinowski and his wife Mary Ann and their child, Kelly; George Gasinowski and his wife Judy and their two children, Dean Gasinowski and his daughter, Amelia, and Casey Gasinowski; Robert Gasinowski; and her daughter, Anne Marie and her husband Dennis Sullivan and their two children, Timothy and Justin, and is also survived by her brother George Burda and his daughter, Debra; and her sister, Gert Little. Following cremation, a Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Ann’s Church in Peabody once 100 percent of all the restrictions have been lifted.
