Anna Barron

Obituary of Anna M. Barron

Anna M. Barron, formally Gelenian, passed peacefully on May 31st, 2020 in the High Pointe House Hospice Home in Haverhill, MA with the comfort of her husband Leo’s shirt curled up by her side. Born and raised in Malden with three siblings, Anna’s parents moved to the United States from Armenia and continued many of their traditions and aspects of their heritage. She met Leo, her husband of 58 years working at Sears and Roebuck. She also spent many of her working years at Malden Hospital as a dietician and had a home daycare for 35 years loving and caring for children. Some of her most joyous times were dancing with her husband and traveling. She also enjoyed time with her longtime faithful friends Rosie, Phyllis, and Marie. She loved doing things for her family like making her special chocolate birthday cakes. Anna was one of the most social, open hearted people you would have ever met, and her door was always open to anyone who wanted to stop in and have a cup of coffee. Her heart extended to everyone no matter where she went. Anna cherished her daughters Linda and Donna, son-in-law Joe, and granddaughters Kendra, Kaylee and Liana. Mom/Nana, our hearts will always be with you. Her funeral services were private. In lieu of flowers please donate to the Alzheimer's Foundation, 309 Waverley Oaks Rd, Waltham, MA 02452 in memory of Anna and Leo Barron.
