Obituary of Daniel Ferreira

Daniel Ferreira, 72, of Peabody died June 3, 2020 at Beverly Hospital, of complications related to COVID 19. He was the devoted husband of Maria Zoraida (Pimentel)Ferreira , with whom he shared 46 years of marriage. Daniel Ferreira was born on July 27th, 1947 in his beloved São Miguel, Azores, Portugal, son of the late Alfredo and Maria dos Anjos (Linhares) Ferreira. He was raised there before emigrating with his family to the United States. When Daniel arrived in Peabody, he worked in Peabody’s booming leather industry. He went on to work at various places around the North Shore, such as The Ship restaurant, Chi-chis restaurant, East Side Marios, Danvers Butchery, Ann Taylor, Kanes florist, and the Infiniti dealership. He was also a member of Our Lady of Fatima Church in Peabody. He loved fishing, gardening and his home island of São Miguel in the Azores, which held a special place in his heart. He adored his grandchildren, who meant the world to him. Daniel cherished spending time with his family and will be missed by all who knew him He is survived by loving wife, Maria Zoraida Ferreira; his son, Bruno Ferreira and his wife Kimberley of Weymouth; his 3 Grandchildren, Zoe, Wyatt and Felix; his siblings, Manuel, Joao, Alfredo, Carlos, Maria de Jesus Medeiros, and Maria Fatima Raposo. He was predeceased by his sister, Maria Rosa Miguel. Services for Daniel will be held privately. Memorial donations may be made in his name to Autism Speaks at www.autismspeaks.org.
