Obituary of Franklin D Pabisz

Franklin D Pabisz, 60, of Peabody, died unexpectedly of natural causes on Wednesday June 10 at his home. He was the beloved son of the late Edward and Mary (Zastowsky) Pabisz. Franklin was a life-long resident of Peabody and was a graduate of Essex Aggie, class of 1977. Franklin worked for Eastern Smelting in Lynn for 20 years until their closing and then for Marshall Bros Landscaping. He was an enthusiastic fan of the Red Sox and Patriots. Franklin regularly enjoyed hiking and camping. He was an active person who loved the outdoors and took daily walks on a variety of local trails in Essex County. He loved nature and all animals both domestic and wild. If you asked him a question about a tree or plant, he would most likely give you the Latin name first. He was an expert ornithologist and had an innate artistic talent which expressed itself in many forms. He was a dedicated gardener and a great cook. His family enjoyed his dry wit and will greatly miss his sense of humor, his generosity, and his gentle soul. Franklin is survived by his siblings, Suzanne Slack of Peabody, Mary Jane Pabisz of Peabody with whom he made his home, Melanie Pabisz of Wenham, John Pabisz and his wife Beth of San Diego, CA. He is also survived by his nephew, David and his wife Michelle of Danvers, his sister-in-law, Marie Pabisz of Groveland, his nieces, Donna DeCiccio, Diann Moustakis, and Debra Stevens and many cousins and his beloved aunt, Emilia Zastowsky. He was predeceased by his brother Henry E Pabisz in 2013. In honor of Franklin’s memory his family requests that you take a walk someplace peaceful and find something beautiful to enjoy. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St, Peabody from 6:00 until 8:00 PM. Funeral services will be private, and burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody.
