Obituary of Carole E. Hunt

Peabody - Carole E. (Gregory) Hunt, 85, of Peabody, beloved wife of Robert F. Hunt, passed away peacefully on July 3, 2020 after a brief illness, surrounded by loving family. Born in Marblehead, she was the daughter of the late James and Mildred (Marston) Gregory. She was educated in the Lynn Public Schools and graduated from Lynn English High School, class of 1952. A resident of Peabody for the past 58 years, Carole was a Life Master in the American Contract Bridge League, a talented knitter, gifted baker and fabulous cook. She loved going dancing with her husband and their trips to Foxwoods and Twin River Casinos. Carole was an avid Boston Sports Fan, especially fond of The Boston Red Sox and NE Patriots. She adored the ‘Ann & Hope Girls’ her beloved group of best friends. Her main focus was always her family who she devoted her life to. She was a loving wife, mother, nana, gigi, and friend who will be greatly missed by all who knew her. In addition to her husband of 62 years, she is also survived by her daughters, Susan E. Beaudoin and her boyfriend Mike Hannan of Tyngsboro, Cindy Sauve and her husband Gary of Methuen, a son, Jeffrey Hunt and his wife Crystal of NH. 14 grandchildren, Kristin Bernier and her husband Michael, Nicole Sauve, Stephanie Joyce and her husband Tommy; Matthew Beaudoin and his wife Amanda, Lauren and Kyle Beaudoin; Dan and Leigh Ann Hunt; Amanda, Cameron, Erin, Robbie, John and Troy Hunt; 4 great grandchildren, Marcellus and Kassius Bernier, Nora Joyce and Louie Hunt. She also leaves behind several special nieces and nephews. Carole was predeceased by her son Gregory R. Hunt, her sisters, Hope M. Burke and Norma L. Flude, her brother Bruce Gregory and her granddaughter Cathleen Hunt. Her funeral service will be held at the Conway Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody, Wednesday, July 8, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. A visitation will take place at the funeral home Wednesday morning prior to the service from 9:30 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Burial in the Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to the American Cancer Society, 3 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
