Obituary of James M. Roche

James M. Roche, 62, of Peabody, died early Sunday afternoon in the Salem Hospital following a lengthy illness. Born and raised in Peabody, he was the son of the late Michael J. Roche & Dorothy (Cortez)(Roche) Poole. He had attended the Carroll School and Peabody High School, graduating with the class of 1958. He had been employed at Colonial Cadillac in Danvers, Flynntan Leathers of Salem, and also worked for a number of years as a bartender at Leo’ s Tap in Peabody He was a member of the Portuguese American War Veteran’ s Post #1 in Peabody and the Ancient Order of Hibernians in Salem. He is survived by one son, Michael Carson of Beverly; a sister, Geraldine (Roche) (Howland) Brewer of Danvers; a brother and sister-in-law, John and Marion Roche of Peabody; a niece, LeeAnne Dupuis of Danvers; 2 nephews, Michael Howland of Danvers and Dirk Brewer of Wildomar, Ca., and several cousins, great nephews, great niece and many friends. A Funeral service will be held on Friday, July 26, 2002 at 10:00 AM at the family lot in St. Mary’ s Cemetery, Salem, to which relatives and friends are invited to attend.
