Obituary of John M. Moore

John M. Moore Jr., 78, of Cape Coral, Florida and formerly of Peabody and Danvers, MA, died unexpectedly on July 8, 2020 at his residence. He was preceded in death by his wife of 42 years Neila K. (Vigars) Moore and his son Dan Hosker. He was born in Salem MA on March 31, 1942, the son of the late John M. Sr. and Ruth (Conway) Moore and was raised in Peabody and later resided in Danvers before moving to Cape Coral in 1998. He was employed at the former Eastman Geletine Corp of Peabody for 28 years prior to his retirement. John was an avid Boston sports fan and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving with the US Navy Sea Bees M 12 in Da Nang. He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, John M. Moore III and Stephanie Moore of Danvers, MA, and their daughters, Jamison, Madison and Emerson Moore, a daughter, Christine O’Brien and her partner Mike Pasquarello and her children Katie and Joe, a brother Rob M. Moore of Burlington, MA, his nephew John Compiano and his wife Deb and their children Dan and Megan and a nephew Larry Compiano and his partner Karyl Ryczek. He was the brother of the late Barbara Moore Delaney. A Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 5:00 unitl 7:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral home at the 82 Lynn St., Peabody facility. His funeral will be held on Wednesday, July 15, at 9:00 AM from the Funeral Home followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Ann’s Church, Peabody at 10:00 AM. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery Peabody.
