Obituary of Andreas Stathoulopoulos
Andreas Stathoulopoulos, 86 years old, passed away peacefully
early Thursday morning at his residence, surrounded by his loving family. Born in
1934 in Aris, Greece, to the late Panagiotis and Sophia (Hazou) Stathoulopoulos.
Andreas served in the greek navy before immigrating to Montreal, Canada in the early
60’s. After Canada he moved to Peabody.
Andreas was owner of the Honeybee Diner in Peabody and also worked for
Lafayette Nursing Home in Marblehead, prior to his retirement.
He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years Anna (Bouras) of Peabody, his two
daughters, Sophia Deurloo of Peabody, and Maria Stathoulopoulos of Peabody; two
precious grandchildren, Andrianna and Alec Deurloo, of Peabody.
His siblings, Athena and her late husband Demitris Giannopoulos, Konstantina and her
husband Aristedis Hatzidis, Stathis and Gianoula Sakkas, Katina and her late husband
Demitris Bouras, sister in law Roula Stathoulopoulos, brother in law Yiannis Georgiou,
all from Greece. He was predeceased by his brothers Yiannis and Georgios
Stathoulopoulos and his sister Eftehia Georgiou, all of Greece. He leaves behind many
nieces and nephews. He enjoyed meeting his friends at the North Shore Mall for coffee
and for some laughs. His presence lit up the room, he will be forever missed.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, July 16 from 4 – 8 P.M. at the Conway,
Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home. 82 Lynn St., Peabody. All attendees are required to wear
face coverings and practice social distancing. Funeral services will be held privately.
