Obituary of Marie F. Murano

Peabody – Marie F. (Carey) Murano 93, beloved wife of the late Raymond P. Murano, died Tuesday, August 11, 2020 at the Newton-Wellesley Hospital in Newton. Born, raised and educated in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Jane (Levesque) Carey. She graduated from St. Mary’s High School in Salem. Mrs. Murano had been employed for many years as a bookkeeper for various companies until the time of her retirement in 1999. A resident of Peabody for the past twenty-seven years, prior to that, her and her husband had resided in Danvers for twenty-six years. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend who will be missed by all who knew her. Marie is survived by her son, Robert A. Murano and his wife, Elizabeth of Westborough, two grandchildren, Mary L. Bengtson and her husband, David of Millbury and Melissa E. Meier and her fiancé, Thomas Huber of Manville, RI, three great grandchildren, Destiny M. Bengtson, Aragorn J. Bengtson and James T. Huber, three sisters, Margaret Gauthier of Salem, Dorothy Blatsos of Saugus and Patricia Meniatis of CA and many nieces and nephews. She was also the mother of the late Andrew Murano and sister of the late Ann B. Letourneau. Her funeral service will be held at the Conway Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody, Wednesday, August 19, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held prior to the service on Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Interment will be private. All attendees are required to wear mask and adhere to social distancing guidelines.
