Obituary of Patricia M. Nicholas

Patricia M. Nicholas, 64, of Peabody, passed away unexpectedly at her home Friday afternoon. She was the loving wife of James Nicholas and mother of Lauren Nicholas. Patricia was born in Salem, on June 15, 1956, daughter of the late Lester and Loretta (Burke) Keilty. She was raised in Peabody. She was a proud alumni of Bishop Fenwick High School ’74; and went on to attend Salem Hospital School of Nursing ’78. She had worked as a registered Nurse for Salem Hospital and New England Orthopedic Specialists. In her spare time, she enjoyed going to the movies, sitting out in the sun, shopping, reading books, solving crossword puzzles, but most importantly spending time with her family. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Those who knew Tricia will never forget her infectious laugh, beaming smile, and kind heart. She devoted her life to helping others and loved being a nurse; but her biggest success in life was being a mother. Besides her loving husband and daughter, she is survived by her siblings, Terrance Keilty & his partner Camille of Peabody, Daniel Keilty & his wife Jane of New York; her sisters-in-law, Paula Keilty of South Carolina, Dale Callahan of Peabody; a lifelong family friend, Dean Andersen of Swampscott; her dog, Callie, and many nieces, nephews, friends, and neighbors. She was predeceased by her brothers, Kevin and Timothy Keilty. A visitation will be held on Thursday, August 27, from 4 – 8 P.M. at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home. 82 Lynn St., Peabody. Her funeral mass will be held on Friday, August 28, in St. John the Baptist Church, 17 Chestnut St. Peabody at 11 A.M. Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 and to the MGH-North Shore Cancer Center, 102 Endicott St., Danvers, MA 01923. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Lynn, MA
