Obituary of Claire M. Kaminski

Claire Marie Kaminski, 85, of Peabody, formerly of Lynn, died on August 23, 2020 peacefully at her home. She was the devoted wife of the late Robert C. Kaminski, for 66 years, who predeceased her in May of this year. Born in Lynn in 1934, she was the daughter of the late Valentine F. and Florence M. (Cassidy) Donoghue. She was raised in Lynn and attended Saugus High School. She worked as a fuel line trainer, inspector and technician for the B1 Bombers and Jet Engines for General Electric, which became Ametek, for 30+ years. She received several awards for her dedication to work and for her technical abilities and redesign of an inflight instrument. Those who worked with Claire genuinely valued working with her. Even in retirement she enjoyed working and worked part-time at Christian Book Distributors as well as Shaw’s. She loved keeping busy, she was an avid reader of her favorite author Stephen King and took joy in knitting. She loved going to the movies with her son Robby, as well as trips to the Casino with her daughter Susan. In later years she was fond of watching shows and spending time with her pets. Claire is survived by her son, Robert V. Kaminski of Peabody, her three daughters, Claire and her husband James Przada of St. Louis, MO, Roberta Cheever of Springhill, FL, and Susan Kaminski and her partner, Edward Byrne of Salem, her beloved grandchildren, Michelle and her husband Ryan Creasi, Jasen Walsh and his partner Danielle Moraitis, and Shawn Cheever, her great grandchildren, Aiden and Alex Creasi, Kaylee and Jasen Walsh, Jr, and Skyla Cheever. She is also preceded in death by her sisters Patricia (Donoghue) Dineen and Florence “Sissie” (Donoghue) (Wilson) Courchaine. Following cremation, her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 11:00 AM at St. John’s Church, 17 Church St, Peabody to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to the Alzheimer’s Association MA/NH Chapter, 309 Waverly Oaks Road, Waltham, MA 02452. Arrangements were made by the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, Peabody.
