Obituary of Lorraine E. Squibb

Peabody – Lorraine E. (Milley) Squibb 87, beloved wife of the late Harold B. Squibb, died peacefully on Friday, August 28, 2020 at the Brudnick Center for Living in Peabody. Born in Everett, she was the daughter of the late Norman and Rowena (Noftle) Milley. She was raised in Everett and graduated from Everett High School, class of 1951. After marrying her high school sweetheart Harold in 1954, they made their home in Everett before moving to Peabody in 1969. A resident of Peabody for the past fifty-one years, Mrs. Squibb dedicated most of her adult life to raising her family. She worked at Sears in Peabody for twenty years while her children were in school. She had also been an active member of Calvary Christian Church in Lynnfield. Lorraine was a loving wife to Harold for 61 years until his passing in 2015. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend who will be missed by all who knew her. Surviving her are her five children, Rev. Ronald Squibb and his wife, Emma of Staten Island, NY, David Squibb and his wife, Cyndi of Peabody, Judith Parsons and her husband, Ronald of Peabody, Barry Squibb and his wife, Tracey of Peabody and Bruce Squibb and his wife, Linda of Hampstead, NH. She had eleven grandchildren, the late Cheryl (Squibb) Plumb and her husband Steven Plumb, Ronald Squibb and his wife Corrin, Melissa Bramer and her husband, Leland, Rebecca Hanson and her husband, David, Ronald Parsons II and his wife, Jonni, Timothy Parsons, Jonathan Squibb, Brandon Squibb, Lauren Squibb, Kaitlyn Squibb, Matthew Squibb, seven great-grandchildren, a sister, Irene King of FL, a brother, Norman Milley of MI, and many nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Phyllis Mitchell and David Milley. Her funeral service will be held at the Calvary Christian Church, 47 Grove Street, Lynnfield, Saturday, September 5, 2020 at 11 a.m. A visiting hour will be held prior to the service at the church from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Burial in the Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody. All attendees are required to wear masks and adhere to social distancing guidelines.
