Michael R. Jarmusik, 45, of Salem, passed away Sunday September 27, 2020, at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, following a brief illness. He was the loving husband of Ellen (Reynolds) Jarmusik. Mike was born in Lynn, MA on March 18, 1975, son of Richard and Maureen (Collins) Jarmusik, formerly of Peabody currently living in The Villages, Florida. Besides his wife Ellen, and his parents, Richard and Maureen, he is survived by his sister, Julie Jarmusik and her partner Rob O’Neill, of Salem, MA; his Uncle Victor Jarmusik of Groveland, MA; his Aunt, Therese Jarmusik of Wakefield, MA; and his Aunt Louise Dahlmer of Ft. Myers, FL; his cousins, Matthew Jarmusik, Brian Jarmusik and his wife, Alissa and Kristen Murphy and her husband Alan; his mother-in-law Marge (Walsh) Reynolds of Salem, MA; his sisters-in-law, Elizabeth Barceleau and her husband, David of Lynn, MA; Elaine Bonanno and her husband, Joe of W. Newbury, MA; Carol Reynolds and her partner Doug Nelson of Scottsville, VA and Maryann Reynolds of St. Paul, MN; his nephews; Tom, Eric, and Kevin Bonnano, Dominic and Patrick Barceleau, Ian and Jake Reynolds and many friends and former teammates. He was predeceased by Grandparents; his Uncle Bill Jarmusik; father-in-law Richard Reynolds brother-in-law, Tom Reynolds. He will be greatly missed by his beloved dogs, Gemma and Laci. Mike attended Our Ladies of Assumption in Lynnfield from grades K-8. From there, he went on to St. John’s Prep, graduating as a member of the Class of 1993. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Virginia Wesleyan University in Norfolk, VA. Mike was the Vice President of Franchise Operations for Extra Innings in Middleton for the past 15 years. It was a career that suited him, being an avid baseball fan, and having played baseball growing up and all through college. He started his baseball career playing in the Peabody little league system, moving to Babe Ruth, Peabody Legion, St. John’s Prep, four years at Virginia Wesleyan and then for Champion Pub in the North Shore Baseball League. Mike was very proud of being part of a team that won many Championships throughout the years. He is well known for his contributions to the team, who he always considered family. Along with his love of sports, he enjoyed getting together with friends, quite times with his dogs on the couch and playing cards with “the guys” as well as his father-in-laws monthly card group. Mike enjoyed his group chats with the College guys, with whom he had a strong bond. He loved his kayaking trips on the Saco River for the past 15 years, many family vacations in Vermont and Cape Cod, Island vacations with Ellen and their friends and trips to The Villages to visit his parents. He also enjoy relaxing cookouts at “Camp Couture” with all his best buds. Mike’s sense of humor will always be remembered by those who loved him. A visitation for Michael will be held on Sunday, October 4, from 2P.M. - 6P.M. at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home on Lynn Street in Peabody, MA. His funeral mass will be held on Monday, October 5, at 10 A.M. in Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 17 Grove St., Lynnfield, followed by interment in Greenlawn Cemetery, Salem. All attendees are required to wear masks and abide by the social distancing guidelines. Because of Mike’s love of Baseball, in Lieu of Flowers, contributions can be made to The Jimmy Fund at Dana-Faber Cancer Institute, P.O. Box 849168, Boston, MA 02284 or via www.jimmyfund.org/gift.
