Pat and family...how very sad I was to read of Ed’s passing. It truly brought back a flood of wonderful St. John’s School memories and my friendship with the Krippendorf clan which I have carried with me all these years!
There was such a joy of life that you and Ed lovingly nurtured in your home that radiated through your children each day at school. It was such a joy to be part of that.
My deepest sympathies to all of you...please know Ed and all of you are in my thoughts and prayers.

I was so very sorry to hear of Ed’s passing. He worked for me for most of his time at Natick. He was always a bit of a character, and we all have fond memories of him as a friend and coworker. He will be missed. We all used to kid him about his occasional cat naps, and can only hope that he is resting in peace for this final long nap.

Hilary and I are deeply sorry to hear about the passing of Ed. It was a privilege to have Ed, Pat and their family as friends and we fondly remember our pot luck suppers and bicycle journeys together. "Big Ed" - a life well lived, always caring and optimistic.

Deeply saddened by the passing of who we referred to as “Big Ed.” I have many memories of Big Ed from teaching the neighborhood kids to ride their bikes without training wheels, helping me make my Pinehill racing car for the Cub Scouts, and in later years having a beer at a neighborhood cookout. I remember our conversation and counsel ,in my mom’s kitchen, before I left for the military. I was ready for everything before it snapped off. My memories are too many to list here but it was never lost on me that you took time for me and all the other kids in the neighborhood. I’m forever grateful. Rest In Peace

Sorry to read of Ed's passing. I worked with Ed at Natick Labs for many years. He was sharp-witted guy, who loved his family. He often talked to me about his family as if I knew them quite well, which I did after hearing his many stories about them. He will be missed. My condolences to his family. May you rest in peace, Ed.

Our hearts are broken to learn of the passing of one of the sweetest most upbeat guys I know. Louise and family join me in sending our sad condolences to Pat, Patty, Susie, Ed and all the grands. What fun it was to be at the Kripp's at one of the many cookouts on Mapledale Place. And I'll never forget the bike ride Ed organized from Swampscott to the Cape one weekend. Though so many years have passed, I remember it like it was yesterday because my body still aches. I have asked myself many times how in heck I let him talk me into doing it. God speed, my friend, and rest well. David Gilmore
